Grilling Process
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (400°F/200°C).
- In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties, approximately 1-inch thick.
- Season both sides of each patty with extra salt and pepper.
- Grill the patties for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or 5-6 minutes for medium. Add cheese during the last minute if desired.
- Toast the buns on the grill for about a minute.
- Assemble by placing each patty on a bun, adding ketchup, mustard, and your choice of toppings.
- Serve immediately with fries or coleslaw.
