Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. In a blender, combine black beans, eggs, cocoa powder, maple syrup, peanut butter, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Bake the Brownies
  1. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Let cool before cutting into squares.
