Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries washed and drained
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup oats rolled
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Gently toss to coat the blueberries evenly.
  2. Transfer the blueberry mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon.
  2. Pour the melted butter into the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
  3. Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over the blueberry filling.
Bake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake the dessert in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the blueberries are bubbling.
  3. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
