  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup chopped nuts optional, such as pecans or walnuts

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the blueberry mixture.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring even coverage.
  5. If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the blueberries are bubbly.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm, optionally with whipped cream or ice cream.
