Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness of fruit
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Crisp Topping
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup almond slices or chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine blueberries, sliced peaches, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss to coat the fruit evenly.
Make the Crisp Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix together oats, flour, brown sugar, almond slices, melted butter, and cinnamon until crumbly.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the fruit mixture into a baking dish and evenly spread the crisp topping over the fruit. Bake for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
Serve
  1. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
