Peanuts
  • 2 cups raw peanuts preferably green or raw
Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for spice
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning optional for flavor
Water
  • 6 cups water

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the raw peanuts under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.
  2. Place the rinsed peanuts in the crockpot.
  3. Add salt, cayenne pepper, and Old Bay seasoning to the peanuts.
  4. Pour in the water, ensuring the peanuts are fully submerged.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours, or until the peanuts are tender.
  2. Check occasionally and add more water if necessary to keep the peanuts submerged.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, drain excess water and serve warm or at room temperature.
