Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese plus extra for topping
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 3/4 cup milk
Topping
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Method
 

Prepare the Oven
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and shredded cheddar cheese.
Combine Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, mix the melted butter and milk until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Shape Biscuits
  1. Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
Prepare Topping
  1. While the biscuits are baking, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and shredded cheddar cheese in a small bowl.
Finish Biscuits
  1. Remove the biscuits from the oven and brush the tops with the garlic butter mixture. Serve warm.
