Ingredients
  

For the Margarita
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup tequila preferably silver
  • 1/4 cup lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 cup ice crushed or cubed
  • for rimming salt optional
  • for garnish lime wedges
  • for garnish strawberries whole

Method
 

Prepare the Glass
  1. If desired, rim the glasses with salt by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into salt.
Blend the Ingredients
  1. In a blender, combine the fresh strawberries, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, simple syrup, and ice. Blend until smooth.
Serve
  1. Pour the blended mixture into the prepared glasses. Garnish with lime wedges and whole strawberries.

Notes
