Ingredients
  

Mushrooms
  • 4 large portabella mushrooms stems removed
Filling
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably Italian seasoned
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for sautéing
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined.
Stuffing the Mushrooms
  1. Place the portabella mushrooms in a baking dish, gill side up.
  2. Spoon the filling mixture into each mushroom cap, pressing down gently to pack it in.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
